Excellent
If you can screw in a lightbulb, you can install these retrofit lights. We had just repainted our interior walls and those old canned light covers looked so yellow. Thought about painting over them but decided to check on Amazon to see about replacing the covers. Kept browsing and landed on these retro-fit replacement LED bulbs and covers in one. Most reviews were favorable. We have not been disappointed. The look is clean, flush and thoroughly updated. Changing everything up took no time at all. The lights are bright at max but our first pack allowed adjustment before install. The second set we ordered was a fixed output. The lighting feels well built. The pricing was well worth it...no cost for replacement of many parts and bulbs...and our contractor thought these were brilliant. (No pun intended)
These worked great to cover yellowed trim. I'm still going to try these on the porch to keep wasps out of the fixtures.
The adjustability of the LED bulb assembly was initially frustrated by loosely hanging sockets in the old cans. Once the socket suspensions were stabilized with spare screws wedged into the upper hooks supporting the suspension harp, it was possible to snug the bulb assembly against the ceiling. The diameter is about 1/8 shy of covering what the old can light rims covered, but this is easy to ignore with a light-colored ceiling, so we did not install goof rings. The ability to tune the light temperature to 2700K or 3000K to match other lighting in the room is a great feature.
Reluctant to buy at first, sonce never heard of company. Took the plunge. Very impressed with design of product. Simple to understand and install. Surprised it took companies this long to develop for LED retro market. Installed 18 with no issue. The telltale will be longevity and company backing. Both key for successful companies and happy customers.
